Rimini 2008 SPORT FOR ALL FESTIVAL

From the 20th of June to the 6th of July, on Rimini coastline, thousands athletes coming from all over the world Will meet there.

Rimini 2008 is a national and international party of SportforAll, promoted by Uisp – Italian Sport for all Association (the biggest italian association of sport for all and social sport, with 1.150.000 active members and 16.000 affiliated clubs) and by Csit – Confédération Sportive Internationale du Travail, international organization recognized by IOC.

Rimini 2008 represents for Uisp the central event of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of its foundation, and for Csit is the opportunity to gather in the same place and at the same time seven different Championships, a real Olympic Game of SportforAll with athletes of many different disciplines coming from all over the world.

The challenge of Rimini 2008 is to give expression to every aspect of social sport and sportforall, with friendship and joy.
Csit World Championships of volleyball, beach-volley, soccer, swimming, athletics, judo, karate, gymnastics, basketball, tennis, chess and petanque will alternate with Uisp National Championships and events of volleyball, basketball, soccer, chess, tennis, swimming, dancing and cycling. But also animation and exhibitions – opened to visitors and tourists of all ages – will be organized by several Uisp Leagues and Areas: traditional sports and games, chess, beach-volley, sailing, vintage cars and motorbikes, karting, thai chi quan-qi cong, tennis, dancing, bowls.

Rimini 2008 Village will be the information and entertainment point for all participants and athletes; it will host several exhibitions on Uisp story, soccer, diving activities and games. From the afternoon there will be literary meetings on sports topics, music events, entertainment, shows and dancing in the street.
